Dr Rhiannon Thompson

Dr Rhiannon Thompson is a Research Associate within the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. She obtained her PhD from Imperial College London, which focused on pollution, noise and psychological outcomes in adolescents. Her academic background is in Psychology and Philosophy (BA, University of Oxford) and Developmental Psychopathology (MSc, Durham University), and she has worked in community mental health support. She is currently undertaking an NIHR School for Public Health Research (SPHR) post-doctoral launching fellowship in Public Health Research at Imperial until 2025. Here she will be investigating the impact of climate, climate change, and environmental action on young people’s mental health.
